AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER (ASD) Introduction Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neurological disorder that affects developmental delays which can include social communication, learning, physical and behavioral. It is a disorder that comes with repetitive behavior, highly restricted interests and/or sensory behaviors (Lord, 2020). There is no "cure" for ASD but early intervention and long term therapy can help with symptoms regarding ASD. Whether it is speech, occupational, physical and/or ABA therapy. The different types of therapy can help reduce symptoms after long time therapy. Routine and consistency really helps an ASD individual thrive.
